battlefield 2 using bf2 HUB - 2020 game play

Battlefield 2 in 2020 using the bf2 HUB.

Bf2 HUB updated and all in good standing (green). Never had an issue prior to 1/2020. When I launch the game it shows the EA Games Challenge Everything screen and in the background you hear the game start and monologue playing. Problem is the server box never appears in order to select a game. Dunno. After multiple times reboot/ect I uninstalled bf2 game, origin, and bfg HUB. I reinstalled them all and the installation was fine, but same issue occurs. The EA Games Challenge Everything screen does not go away, just game sounds in the background. Thoughts?
