I used to have Windows 7 and BF3 worked perfectly.After not playing for a while, I uninstalled it and after upgrading to Windows 8 Pro (not a fresh install) I decided to install BF3 again.The download goes smooth but the instalation takes forever (last night I left for 2+ hours and nothing).If I close the Origin client (via task manager) and try again, I get the following error: "DirectX Setup error: An internal error occurred."Here's my system specs:AMD FX-6100Radeon HD67708Gb DDR3 RAMWindows 8 Pro with Media CenterAny light at the end of the tunnel?Thanks in advance for the help

Hey guys i am also having this directx trouble have played this game previously for 2 years, uninstalled it and after a year trying to get i back baut after dowloading this 19 gb of data for continous 4 days ☹️ its giving me this crappy directx error please help....system specs

Try the instructions from this video, it's worked for me on multiple Origin games when I get the Direct X installation error.

guys I need help..
when I open the game it tells me this :
failing creating D3D device of a least version 10.0 on adapter "ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)" With driver "Unknown" . Error is DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED ("Unsupported.").
this is typically caused by not having the minimum required DirectX support in GPU.
For NVIDIA GPU DirectX 10.0 support is required.
For AMD and GPU's from other vendors DirectX 10.1 support is required.

Yep, re-running the DXSETUP.exe worked spot-on. Fixed same problem installing on Windows 10. I'd already run the dxwebsetup program when I got the new machine so I don't know why I needed to do this.
But it worked, so who cares?!

I ran Origin in Administrator mode and it worked
