Battlefield 3 Language change

Hello, dear support team!

My friend gifted me a copy of Battlefield 3 via an activation code (nice guy). I redeemed the code through Origin and bumped into a small problem: the code activated a Russian copy of Battlefield and there is no way (legal way at least) I can change the language to English. Is there anything you guys can do to somehow change the language so I don't have to download and run some language changer that will mess up the game next time an update comes out?
