Battlefield 3 Microsoft Visual 3 C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable Setup
Hello All,
I bought Battlefield 3 using Origin Humble Bundle web-site and tried to install it after downloading it.
I'm getting an error message saying; Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (1603)
I've tried everything possible to get this to install. I've uninstalled Battlefield 3 and Origin and then get the same error message above but this time; with error code 5100.
I'm also getting a window that pops up saying;

Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to get this resolved please?

Error code 2203 basically pops up when the user does not have sufficient permissions to install the program to the folder that contains the installation point or the temp folder. Make sure that you are logged in as an Administrator to install the programs on the computer.

Hi MLadyD7,
Thank you for your message. Well I can say that your Microsoft Link was a complete success. I clicked on the link and followed the instructions to change my permissions as you stated and then tried to install Battlefield 3 and it worked and I was then able to play the game without any problems.
Thank you so much for your help and support throughout this problem. I hope that others can benefit from my experiences if they have a similar problem.
Superb game and excellent game play.
Best regards.
