Battlefield 3 not able to connect online. "Account not activated."

I have a EA account and its linked to my psn account and yet when i try to play battlefront 3 multyplayer im stuck on the home screen where my battle feed says account not activated. I dont know what to do since i do have an account but it wont give me any sign in popup.
