I just bought the Battlefield 3 Premium Edition on CD-DVD and I was wondering, does the CD contain the entire game along with the expansions OR do I still have to download the expansions/DLCs from Origin? I know it says on the cover that it "includes" the game and the expansions, but I was just wondering if I still need to download anything from origin (patches, updates, the expansions, etc.)?

Thanks. I found that out I while ago as well, when I finished installing it. I can go and die now while I wait for the updates and DLCs to download. :manindifferent:
BTW, to those with the same question, the BF3 Update is 5,413.97MB, Armored Kill is 3,722.04MB, and finally the Close Quarters is at 2,825.53MB.
For a total of 11961.54 MB, almost 12 GB before you can play the game, that is if you're like me who just bought the Premium Edition CD.
What was the point of having two discs? Surely all of the expansions could have came on the CD along with the game? When I went to install the game it even went to do the main game from Origin rather than from the disc that was already in the computer... Very clunky and very unorthodox way to sell a Premium Edition.
To boot, despite having a 24mb ADSL2+ connection, the Origin Downloader only downloads at a maximum of 300kb/s on my connection which would normally hit a much higher speed on other downloaders such as Steam. And this is across two computers with two copies purchased (one for myself, one for my fiance).
I'm not too sure what I exactly paid for to buy a physical copy of the game compared to just downloading it online anyways... If I knew there was a large download component I probably would have just saved the money and bought online anyways. Very dissapointed...
