New issue. Says my Xbox account is linked to another account. I can confirm it is not, on EA's side anyway.
Therfore you have to figure out which EA account you already linked that Xbox account to, to be able to remove it an then link to another.

Hi Travis,
I know for a fact it is not linked to another account as I had to speak to live support to gain access to my old one. My old account no longer exists I made sure to unlink my Xbox account first. I’ll unlink and re-link it to my current account and see if that works but apart from that I’m not sure what I can do as I definitely know it’s not linked to another account.

Might be a bug as EA Play through Game Pass forces you to use the EA Desktop App.
