Battlefield 3, Xbox 360 HD

I've been trying to play Battlefield on a HDTV, but without the HDMI cables. I don't have a problem with playing in 720p, I'm just wondering if there is any way to fix this percieved input lag I'm dealing with, even though I'm not playing in HD. Is it just my TV? Answers, please?
