This 'solution' doesn't work for me. I have followed instructions, but no luck - my game downloaded fine, no issues but with the debug error '1102' and will not connect to EA servers for CTE. If anyone has another suggestion, this would be appreciated.

t1gge has posted today that there are investigating this already. We might expect patch by Tuesday.

I had the issue and was easy as stopping the origin service and then restarting it.
Playing right now.
