im having the same trouble. running windows 8 64 bit, which is in the reccomended system specs for bf4, did the download and it just freezes on the install with no option to pause or cancel the install. have to shut down my pc to stop it. tried doing a full re-install of origin and re-downloading and it did the same thing. you would think EA would know how to release a game properly by now . . . .

Hello,
Maybe try later could be that EA servers overloaded, everybody will be ok and get beta in time no need to panic🙂

So let me get this straight, you download the game fine but the game wont install? If that's the case, it shouldn't have anything to do with maintaince or overloaded servers.
I would suggest the following fixes:
- Try using the newest Origin beta (Origin--> Application Settings --> Origin Beta Participation --> Restart Origin)
- Make sure you are on an administrator acount on the computer
- Run Origin as administrator
- Sometimes downloads go wrong, try removing the downloaded files and try again.

it shouldnt be the servers if it's only the install thats not working. it downloads just fine. but it gets stuck on the install. mine goes straight from 0% to 27% and freezes there with no error messages.
