Battlefield 4 getting stuck in background processes - Task manager - Windows 8.1

So I tried playing battlefield 4 today, and anyone who plays it knows you join servers through your browser on the battlelog website. But today when I tried to join a server, it got stuck on joini...

    Fixed it!!!

    Here's what I did,

    I closed origin,

    Joined a game through battlelog with origin closed,

    origin of course opened but did an update!,

    when the update had finished the game opened as normal :D

This has been happening sporadically since launch. Manually killing bf4.exe and hitting rejoin in Battlelog usually solves the problem. You may have to repeat this process a couple of times.
