Why aren't my emblems updating?

I wanted to change the emblem in BF4 for the first time in a while, so I changed it to a new one in battlelog, but when I opened the game, the emblem I was using before was still there and hadn't changed.
I then tried deleting the emblem in battlelog, but it still wouldn't change back to the original emblem. This is the steam version.
