Whenever the game closes the processes doesn't closes. In task manager, when I try to end the task it says: Unable to terminate process, The operation could not be completed, Access is denied. The only way to close it is to restart my computer, and I cannot join a new server until it has closed.
PC specs:
Windows 8 Pro
AMD FX-8350
16GB RAM
Radeon HD 6950
I'm having the same issue. It started after the latest update.

If you Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go to processes and kill bf4.exe if it freezes and it should close the app. You may want to also not have any unnecessary tabs or screens open and running. Try a Ccleaner as it helps ALOT. I put it on my roomates laptop, 8 gigs freed up.
It doesn't work. The process won't end. I've even download pstools http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896649.aspx. When you try to end the task it says permission denied. Have to do a full reboot to get rid of it.
I'm also having this same issue. It happens if the game crashes; sometimes if I join a full server; if I start the game from the executable (instead of only from battlelog). The proces is unkillable and I must restart the pc. Please investigate on this, thank you very much!!!
use procexp (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx) and runs as admin. That will do the job.
Same problem here, Systernals wont solve the problem (even as admin);
I can't understando how can EA let a bug like this happen to so many people and at the same time does micresoft which let process to be "immortals".
Not even a NOTE was sent to all the users with this issue, BF4 seems to be ignoring...
