Imagine a battlefield 4 remastered with next gen graphics and in siege of Shanghai when the tower collapses the whole area gets covered in thick some that completely reduces visibility.
I’ve been playing a lot of battlefield 4 recently on the series and the 120fps option on it really makes the game play much smoother and better.

Nothing wrong with Battlefield 4 graphics but I'd love to have Siege of Shanghai (plus Golmud, Floodzone, etc), and play it with bots. In Remaster or 2042 portal, either way is fine.
Yes 2/29 are in Portal. They look okay but play like 2042... It's just not good at all...
Gunplay is weird, features are missing and gameplay details are missing. You can't even pick up classes and stuff...
If the remakes would be like Portal than I'd rather have no remakes at all... I just played BF3 and BF4 recently and they both are better than 2042 in any way. BF3 is so much fun. Only the suppression are a bit too much if you are not used to it anymore.
But for that you have BF4. BF4 gunplay is just amazing.
I would prefer a complete BF3 remaster with all maps +DLC because it has way better Maps than BF4 in general.
@Twordy I think high res and ultra quality is what the OP really means.
They are referring to the 120fps boost mode on Xbox Series X, the issue is the game still plays on newest gen consoles at 720p with an awful version of antialiasing as per the original xbox one game. I'm not sure if the PS4 version differs.
So we really just need a 4k patch for xbox series s/x, changing the antialiasing, switching to ultra settings and including any higher res textures from PC if there is a difference in the actual texture files.
Totally agree that they shouldn't do a remaster, but a 4k patch for new gen consoles and Dice would win back a lot of good will.
Heck I would buy a BF4 xbox series x version for $20 with just these changes if they included all the premium dlc so it could be assured that all new players had all the content and the game still worked against xbox one players.
I would rather play another game with suppression mechanic and some weapon kick instead of a weapon bloom or meta laser guns. I would love to see the maps from BF2, 3, 4 with similar game flow. The next iteration in the series might bring back fully-fledged classes instead of cheesy and goofy specialists.
Please create a game dedicated to the younger generation and capitalize on it like BF: Heroes. But leave anything that starts as the main lineup in the series for adults. That would be the best solution for everyone, not even wallet-wise but preserve customers' sanity.
Do NOT remaster BF4 or the game will turn out to be yet another disappointment. Adjust a bit resolution in Full HD. The game becomes mint in quality at 140% resolution scale and at ultra settings.

@HavingABlast99 Not true. There are lots of servers still up and running on BF4 and they are usually full.
I was watching a video about BF2042 issues and they were playing BF4 locker and I was like I wish BF2042 had a map like that!
