Battlefield 4 some how got broken, any ideas?

Battlefield 4 was working until I played the battlefield hardline beta.

(It was an awful experience, I spent 4 hours trying to join a server only to get 10+ failed to connect to EA online and 2 minutes of gameplay)

then the second day the battlefield hardline beta won't launch at all.

So I say "screw that" and uninstalled the beta.

Now battlefield 4 is broken for some reason.

The game wouldn't launch at all.

Multiplayer is stuck on "Joining server", when I check the task manager the bf4.exe process is there, but it is only using ~56mb of memory.

Even the campaign wouldn't work.

The bf4.exe process is there (only in taskmanager), again using ~56mb of memory.

I tried repairing the game through Origin, reinstalling punkbuster, switching browser, reinstalling battlelog plugin nothing works.

The game was working for me.

So I don't lack any of the requirements.

Any ideas?

  • Something is still messed up we have not found :womanfrustrated: The next thing I would try to save doing a format is get in touch with a EA game adviser to see if they have a idea on how to fix this fully as I feel like I have only helped you part way and this is not good enough as you need it 100% fixed. If they cant help then format but if you do this then run the windows scan again once all drivers are installed and once all windows updates are done. As a clean format is not always stable even when done correct.

With some luck the game adviser will find something simple I missed :womanwink: Keep me posted as I do want to see this fully fixed for you.....

For help with this please contact EA/Origin support for assistance, It does not look like we will be able to help you with it here on Answer HQ.
