I keep getting an error that looks like this everytime I try to start Battlefield 4 with Mantle enabled --> "grWsiWinReleaseFullscreenOwnership(displayHandle)" failed withGR_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST. GPU: "AMD Radeon HD 8970m " ... and it is really bugging me. I'm running on the 14.2 Catalyst Beta drivers. Whenever it give me the error I have to go into Battlefield 4 in my documents folder and delete the settings folder to even get in a game. I know that my graphics card is supported with Mantle. Has anyone else had a similar problem? This graphics card is the dedicated card inside an MSI GX70.

I have exactly the same problem with Mantle on my MSI gx60 and Radeon 8970M, using Catalyst 14.4 BETA drivers (last release so far. Any chance to solve this anytime soon? Anyone found a way to fix it?

EA_Bastian, ss you can see, we all have the same problem, and we have the latest drivers available. So is there any solution and/or explanation for this issue?

On directx it's ok, but on mantle there is such problem. Crashes on mantle began after latest server update 28.04.2014, before this update there were no crashes on mantle. Help please.

Have you guys tried disabling Mantle? I've seen many players using mantle experiencing this problem able to play BF4 again after disabling Mantle.

We know that it works on directx, but this question is about mantle, and we want dice to fix this problem.

Wazzup guys a I found a temporary fix for us Enduro guys (in my case AMD HD 7970m) before you guys change from directx to mantle change fullscreen to borderless, I did that and works for me no more problems to start and play with mantle, give a try 🙂 !
Only works on 14.6 drivers offcourse !
And lets hope they fix this problem and anothers !
