Battlefield 4 Xbox Series X. Can't connect

Since of today I can't connect on my account. It keeps on showing the connecting loading wheel but never connects.

I've tried logging in on my friends xbox account and connecting and that does work.

Is my account banned or something? I've checked https://help.ea.com/nl/my-ban-history/ and it shows no bans.

Would appreciate it if anyone knows what to do now?

    Hi @GON-Gerigon It seems to be an issue happening at the moment. I can't connect to BF4 and some other Battlefield games either.

    Edit: I've passed it on to the Community Managers.

    When I boot up bf4 I get to the rain screen and then press A to sign in and I am met with an infinite loading screen.

    i have tried all the obvious stuff such as reinstalling the game, hard resetting and unplugging the console.

    Yeah I have also had this problem today, I keep being greeted by this screen and have tried absolutely everything.

    Yeah I can’t get on either, spent 45 mins trying to join my mates online. They were on, I wasn’t. Not happy.

    @GON-Gerigon Sorry if it is poorly translated, I am from Latin, I bought the game yesterday for PS4 and I am having the same problem for a change, the support people did not give me information about this problem. I came to find out in the forums, have you solved it?

    On my ps5 when I try to open battlefield 4, my screen is stuck on the initial title screen, saying connecting.

    The same day the issue started I opened battlefield 4 on my pc for the first time, which is running completely fine.  I’m thinking this may somehow have caused the issue.

    I have downloaded cloud data and reinstalled and this hasn’t fixed the issue.


    I have also been able to open and log into the servers of 2042, BF1 and BF5 on ps5.

    I'm having the same issue with my PS4 but I can connect online to bf5 just not bf4
