battlefield bad company 2 stats reset, weapons lost

HI there,

I'm experiencing the same issues outlined here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-Bad-Company-2/battlefield-bad-company-2-stats-reset-weapons-lost/m-p/4326595#M9542 - I've played the game since 2010, all my friends retained their stats and unlocks, mine were reset. I was told it had something to do with character names containing certain characters or icons but that they'd be restored soon. That was like a year ago and I still have nothing, I bought the friggen speccact kit just to get some more weapon variety but to get to where I was it'll take another several hundred hours. 

I'm sure it's an easy fix, my Bad Company 2 name tag is Tazor303.
