Battlefield Hardline - Still alive! Things to know to play!

I started playing Battlefield Hardline a couple weeks ago and it is a fantastic and exciting game!  I beta tested Hardline, but I never gave it a fair chance. I truly regret that decision, but I am making for it now.  I was playing Battlefield 4 exclusively at the time.  Battlefield Hardline has 27 maps and 11 game modes, so there is something for everyone.  The sheer number of maps and modes is a tremendous when compared to other Battlefield games.

BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO PLAY BATTLEFIELD HARDLINE:

First, you must download Punkbuster in order to play.  It is the Anti-Cheat system used Battefield 3 and 4, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield Hardline and many other titles.  It is a FREE download.

Download an official copy at the below website:

After you download it and install it, select the title of the game you want play i.e. Battlefield Hardline.  I recommend rebooting your computer after installation.

Finding a Battlefield Hardline server to play

After you download and install Battlefield Hardline in the EA app and click “Play”, EA app will launch your web browser in order to search for servers and play the game.  It has many of other functions as well.  What the EA app launches in the web browser is called “Battlefield Battle Log”.  You can access it below with your EA app User ID and password, below you will find the hyperlink to Battlefield Battlelog:

Depending on where you live, your Battlefield Battlelog search area may default to the region of the world you live.  I normally play in servers located in Europe and North American for example.  In order to select the region(s) you wish to search for servers, expand the “Search for Servers” bar at the far right.  You will see a small triangle pointing down, click it to open Server Search options.  Note the items highlighted in red.  Please see the below example:

After you make your selections, click “Apply Filter” then click the small triangle in the right-hand corner minimize the “Search for Server” screen.

After you have selected the regions to search, click the “Apply Filter” in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.  Next, hover your mouse pointer over “Multiplayer” and the top of the screen and select “Server Browser” in order to see Battlefield Hardline servers.  Last, select one and have fun!

I hope you find this information helpful.  I would like to help grow the Battlefield Hardline community and remind everyone of this overlooked title in the Battlefield family.  Give it a chance, other gamers are very helpful in answering questions regarding the game.

NOTE:

I have a Battlefield Hardline server located in North American named “Rotten's Radical Hardline Server".  I use EA default settings for the game.  It contains all of the DLC’s (expansion maps) and all of the game modes.  Come and have some fun playing Battlefield Hardline!
