Battlefield: You have lost connection to the EA servers

For the last month I have tried to connect to my Battlefield games (BF1, BF V and BF 2042 Beta from back when it was live), but every time I get the same error that i have "lost connection to the EA servers" and "online features will be unavailable". I have never had this problem from playing battlefield before, but i havent played for a while and i was thinking to prepare for the new BF when i got this problem. The last years I have played on PS4, but earlier this year I upgraded to PS5.

All my other EA games work completely fine and are connected to the EA servers, both Fifa and Battlefront, except Battlefield. I have tried everything and be in contact with EA Help on Twitter, but it does not simply work, and i have had this problem for the last month. My brother has not this problem and he is connected to EA servers on Battlefield, but I simply cant get through and it is really frustrating.

Does other also have this problem, and how can I fix this? Is this a common problem for everyone? I was really looking forward to the new Battlefield, but I simply cant risk to buy it now in fear for not be able to connect to the servers, because then the game would be useless...

Hope someone here has a solution how to fix this.

    Hey @Oustor,

Thanks for your visit to the forums & sorry to hear that you're having some very odd disconnection issues with Battlefield games!

Because you mention that no other EA games show any issues and that other family members of your household are not experiencing issues while being on the same network, this allows me to believe that it could be something on your console itself.

Can you please tell me what your NAT type is and see what the PlayStation internet connection test shows you?

    Turn on your PS5.
    Go to Settings.
    Select Network.
Under Connection Status, select View Connection Status.
There you should also be able to test your connection by selecting Test Internet Connection.

P.S. I saw that you posted the same post on different forums boards, please do not do that in the future. Don't worry, we and other players will see your post. 😉

HI, and thanks for reaching out 🙂

When i test my internet connection I get:

    IP adress: Successful

    Internet connection: Successful

    Playstation network sign-in: Successful

    NAT type: Type 2

    Connection speed (Download): 72.3 mpbs

    Connection speed (Upload): 19.7 mbps

Do you see any unusual here?

I tried to change my DNS as well, but still I dont get connected.

Sorry for spamming in the other boards, in desperate needs before the new game. It wont happen again 😉

@Oustor, thanks for the info. All looks pretty good to me.

Can you please check if something of the following steps fork for you?

    1) hard reset your console, press the power button until the PS5 system beeps twice to turn the system off.
    2) check that your PS+ is not expired and that the account your using is an 'adult' account.
    3) at the title screen for the game, log out of your profile and then log back in
    4) delete then reinstall the Battlefield games from your console

I were also thinking about expired PS Plus membership as this is required for online gaming as i know. Not not sure if certain other games don't request it but i think it's an overall need from PS since PS4. @EA_Leeuw  🙌

Make sure you also play on the same account as you did before, but i guess you do. 😉

Try to restore licenses on your PS5.

Maybe also even try to set it active as your "Primary PS5 console".

Just to compare, try to play the game once again on the PS4 if you still have it.

Because if that still works it probably has something to do with the PS5 console or at least something that's missing or being messed up as you switched to the new console.

    @EA_Leeuw

I tried yesterday to hard reset my console but it made no difference, still have the same problem. I also doublechecked my PS plus membership and confirmed it was active and account as adult. I will try to reinstall my battlefield game, but I have done that one time before I reached out to you and that did not work either. But I give it another try.

    @Its_Travis_199

I thin PS plus is an overall for playing online,a nd all my other games are working fine online, except all my BF games.

Tried to restore my licenses earlier, but I will give it another try.

I thought of that as well and tried to play once again at my old PS4, which has worked earlier, but this did not work either, so I really dont know anymore what could be the problem here.

Could it be my internett blocking something? I think that sounds strange as well because I have played Battlefield on this network earlier this year with no problem at all.

Thanks for the help so far, guys 🙂
