Battlelog Ban Appeal

Hi everybody,

Is there some way to appeal bans for the battelog? I tried it with the Accountdisputes@EA but they only kept saying why i was banned. I got banned from battelog for xenohpobic comments for 1 year without a warning even though it was my first offense (ever), So i wrote my apaology for my behavior to them but they didnt said more than my account "was correctly identified as violating the rules of conduct". I never denialed that but they seem to think i was disputing the reason for the ban instead of the ban itself.

I think its a very harsh punishment (those comments were satire without any malicious thought of me) when i was mindful all those years. Really hope they could show some goodwill for my remorsefulness

Hope you can help.

  • As carbonic rightly states, ban disputes cannot be resolved via Answers HQ and you have already followed the correct process by emailing accountdisputes@ea.com.  With that said, I have taken a look into the matter and the response you have received is not only informing you of the reason for the ban, but the appeal itself is being denied on the grounds that the ban was correct in its application.

Hope this helps clarify the situation for you.

  • Answers HQ cannot handle bans. We don't have access to your account - we can't look into any specific cases. All we can do in here is link to your options. In other words no, there's nothing you can do.

  • So appealing just means that the ban was placed incorrectly and not an appeal for the reason? That makes no seanse. When a person appeals they want entire review of the whole thing not wether or not the proper procedure was followed. Ive noticed that stupid suspensions are being given. I got suspended for Alleged hate speech even though it wasnt and the alleged post doesnt actually clearly violate the ToS. In other words they'll ban you, cite the ToS, then not give a crap.

And this is exactly the problem i have.

Usually when you write an appeal you know which rules you broke/ why you were banned, you dont write an appeal and dispute the reasons or the rule framework. Asking for an appeal is asking for an unban i.e. a second chance in spite of the broken rules (and usually, in real life (shortening the time in jail or no jail at all), they are granted if you are remorseful.)

Why bother make an appeal system if appeals arent accepted?
