BF1- problems with low fps/stuttering

So I recently bought the early edition so I could get ahead, but it is almost impossible to play due to low fps/stuttering (can't even aim down sights without a 1 second of lag). My settings are all on the lowest option, and my drivers are all up to date. I have multiple friends who have worse pcs than I do, yet they are able to run their game fine on medium settings. I turned off all background apps so that bf1 is the only one running, yet this only helps a tiny bit. I also turned off dx12, and this doesn't help. Also, my loading times for each game is no less than 3 minutes, while all of my friends get into their games in normal (20 seconds) times. Any help is appreciated.

My specs: i5-6500 3.2ghz, GTX 970, 8gbs or ram

Friends specs: GTX 960 and 760, 8gbs or ram

  • Because Windows 10 can be awfully optimized for gaming (especially after the Fall Creators Update), you need to turn off features, optimize, and clean up your PC so that games work as well as possible. I followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaYbFmB2rDw&t=165s

After completing all of the steps there was no virtually no stuttering and my framerate went from 40-50 fps to around 80-90. Hope this helps 🙂
