BF1 broken. Patches? Refund?

I have purchased most of the Battlefield series beginning with Bad Company 1. BF 1 is very impressive but the amount of glitches is ridiculous. The game plays like a Beta.

  • Origin consistently won't  launch BF1 or allow the program to completely close and shutdown.
  • The vehicles only work about 60% of the time. Can enter vehicle but mouse does not work. Same thing with mortar.
  • BF1 starts in offline mode or "map installation" about 70% of the time.

Anyway, I have been generally supportive of EA's marketing technique charging full price for half of a working game then buying the expansion packs a few months after initial release.  Up until now I felt the quality of the games were worth the money.  Unfortunately, BF1 is broken.

I want my money refunded or a noticeable effort from EA in the form of patch releases.

From your description it sounds like most of your issues stem from programs conflicting with Origin. Try restarting your system with a Clean Boot, as well as (temporariliy) disabling your Anti-virus.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/kb/929135

With your system in this mode and without launching other programs, try running the game and see if you encounter the issues you describe.

  • I have had game breaking glitches as well. Like the enemy being invisible. Grenades going through obstacles or walls. Horses in general are unplayable (on console). It's ridiculous what EA can do to a franchise and no one will bring it up or be noticed by the media.
  • Dude if it makes you feel a bit better bf1 is broken on the ps4 as well (noticed a lot of xbox one ppl complaining also)

Laggy stuff in the game menu, the same with the mortar we (console) are stuck in the mortar-view so i cannot exit.

And the best gamebreaking bug every round i play i see no stats in the end and the progress is not saved (even not 48hrs later) so ive used some squadboosts for nothing...

Edit: i do am (and stay) lvl 38 but all my unlocks and options to choose a weekly medal are gone.

But hey the game launches, even tho it takes up to 5min to leave a server/game.

And the most * thing of all is i have bf1 on pc and ps4 and both have premium on it... So i butt f'd myself pretty hard... I hope my sorrows brings a small smile on your face m8

This isn't the only game EA has messed up. This whole console animation to make the game better has broken it. Characters are now tripping over small obstacles and rocks on the field. Two-Three attempts to climb over some of them. EA's stock reflects the money grab direction this company has gone. We can't stop them from buying the games, but we can stop funding their assault on the industry. EA stop making pay to win games, stop making pay more to get the whole game. Fix products before releasing them to market and think of playability before you decide console animations are the next big step backwards for your battlefield line.
