BF1 Net Graph - Extr Offset Meaning?

I lag hard during multiplayer only, sometimes I don't lag for ages while in combat and such, and sometimes I get network spikes every 20 seconds for 4-5 seconds or more.

I'd like to know what does Extr Offset mean when you have the net graph on, what does it stand for, what does it actually mean, and is it on my side or server side?

  • HI guys,

Re: BF1 Net Graph - Extr Offset Meaning?  for anyone interested in understanding what EXTRA OFFSET means and also what other network related terms mean

    WATCH THIS EXCELLENT YOUTUBE VIDEO

    https://youtu.be/XkU26yuBI2Q

I came across it while looking up what causes rubberbanding issues in bf1, watch the whole video its packed full of information and will give you a very good understanding of how network servers work when playing a multiplayer game such as Battlefield 1

    hope it helps.

Extrapolation Offset is a value, which indicates your Internet connection. When the value is high this means there are problems with your connection like high network variations or lack of bandwidth. This is the most common problem and you should seek help for your home network...
