BF1 Resolution Issue

When I launch BF1 last week I had no issues. This week I'm having problems with my resolution. I'll launch the the game and it blows my resolution to a crazy scale. Not only that when I force close the game, the rest of PC resolution jumps to a crazy scale and I'm forced to restart through powershell because all settings claim to still be set at 1900x1200. I'm using 1900x1200 resolution, but I don't know what it's setting it to once the game loads. Checked my Geforce settings and it's set to 1900x1200. I uninstalled and reinstalled BF1, same issue. I verified the game, same issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled all of the new Nvidia drivers, same issue. The only issue I can think of is the new driver that Nvidia pushed out on Dec 5th. I wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue and if they found a fix.

  • Hi @nonsense73 and welcome to Answers HQ!

You can your graphics settings by deleting your settings file called PROFSAVE_profile in C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 1\settings - that might help. You can also reset the entire game by deleting the whole Battlefield 1 folder but will probably want to take a backup before doing that.

If the above is not enough you might want to do a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers using DDU:

Still no luck. I've tried all the things you listed and I listed earlier. Can't figure out what the issue is.

Apart from doing a clean install of the current driver like Carbonic stated, have you tried doing a clean install of the last driver set that worked for you in BF1?

The most recent update fixed my issue. Don't know what it was or if I missed an update since it was 3.6GB. Thanks for the help though
