BF3 Lags and I don't know why

Greetings!

I'm experiencing an performance issue with the Battlefield 3 game. It lags constantly, its impossible to play like this.

This started not long ago, about a week or so. Tricky is: all my other games works perfectly. BF4 works...

All I did was updating my graphics card drivers to the latest version through the AMD Gaming Evolved software and the problem started a few days later.

Oh, I've uninstalled the Battlefield Hardline after the beta ended.

For correcting this issue I've tried:
Downgrade my GPU drivers;

Reinstall GPU drivers with the latest software avaliable;

Downloading the beta drivers;

Repair the game within Origin;

Reboot the computer;

Lowering the video graphics options inside the game;

Optimizing to better performance using the AMD Gaming Evolved software;

Restore Windows to a previous backup point...

None of those work.

The problem is with BF3 only. I can play BF4 just fine at Ultra Settings.

My configurations:

Intel i7 Processor 3770 3.40 GHz Octa-core

AMD Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5

8GB RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600

1TB HD 7200RPM Sata 3 6GB/s transfer

MB ASUS P8Z77-V LX2

Windows 8.1 x64

The game should run smoothly... I don't understand why the game lags so much...
Don't remember if there was an automatic update from Origin or not.

Please help?

  • I heard that the problem may be caused from an update of Origin.

    Try disabling the option "Origin in Game" by right-clicking BF3 in the library, then select "Game Properties" and tick the option "disable Origin in Game for this title"

    I had the same problem last week turning off Origin in game fixed it for me so I encourage the OP to try this out.
