BF3 No Sound

Question

I have experiece with Bf3, BF4 and BFH Beta, and i have had sound in all of the aformentioned games, but i have started to notice for a couple months now that i am not getting any audio feedback with BF3. ive tried to listen through speakers, headphones, mess with audio settings, and change sound card settings (onboard) but to no avail. I have searched the internet for months regarding this issue but the thing is in every forum post that i see, it has been concluded that this is an unsolvable issue. please help as its very hard to play an intense FPS game with no sound, probably as you can imagine,

{EDIT} this is for bf3 on PC

Edit 2: i am using a razer kraken 7.1 headset when there is no audio, and normal speakers when the audio DOES work

Did you change anything on your computer such as install new audio software from Razer that may have changed your default audio output?  Can you roll your machine back to an earlier time when your sound worked via the System Restore function?
