bf3 online code invalid - brand new game

received brand new sealed bf3 game with premium edition. tried the code i got with it & said invalid code. this is the only code i received. bought it from amazon. 

had online chat with someone from EA, they said i need to contact amazon & get a replacement code. had a chat with amazon, they said its a fault from EA a bad batch of games handed out with didgy codes. they wouldnt help.

now im in a queue with approx waiting time of 45 mins to speak to another ea advisor.

whats going on? also, ea wont accept a digital receipt of proof. what do i do? i have a brand new game and cant get online.
