BF3 Spinning Bug in 2021

Hi All,

From what I see in this forum, I am not the only one with this spinning bug.

I bought BF3 a few days ago on Steam and so far my character is always spinning as soon as the game start (Campaign mode/Qucik Match mode/Co-op mode no tried).

So I read a few threads and try to apply them but I had no success so far.

What I tried:

1) try different logitec mouses

2) update my graphic card driver Radeon RX 5700 XT

3) disable Origin in-game

4) perform a repair from the Origin console

5) re-install the game 2 times

6) make sure I did not have Discord overlay installed on my computer

I tried to cancel my order with steam but for some reason, 7 hours of (spinning) gameplay are registered.

Is there anything I can try?

Thank you all!

Marc

  • @GruVeeee its related to amd gpu driver somehow, pressing alt-z to enable amd overlay causes camera to spin. funny thing it happens also in star wars battlefront. rx580 here. spam amd with bug report
  • Damn, people are gonna be pissed lrobably but hey, I installed BF3 on my PC (Ryzen 3 integrated vega 6 512mb graphics) today for the first time and had this spinning issue in operation guillotine at first i thought my mouse was effed up, then pressed random keys until i hit the '~' key ( the one right under ESC) it opened the chat box and voila! no more spins!!
Hope it helps some of y'all.
  • Disabling Origin in-game overlay worked for me. It destroys many games, also caused issues on SW Battlefront II.

  • Just press ~ button under the esc button on your keyboard and it will stop spinning

I'm going to have to close this thread as it hadn't been previously active since 2022.

If anyone wants to start a new thread to discuss this issue, though, feel free to do so.
