Bf4: 4 person minimum to start game

Why do i need to have 4 people to start a game? My Dad and I had some if the best times playing 1 v 1 in battlefield 3 until the minimum required players changed to 4. Why can't you let it be 2????

4 player start is only a requirement on servers with the Official preset enabled. You can find servers with the Ranked, Unranked and Private presets that allows for 2 player start. An example is this one: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/servers/show/pc/3ba8baa6-9b33-49df-8a73-2f53ac5d4475/UA-Dangerous-Crew-24-7-RUSH-2-Players-Start/ (this is a pc server, I don't know what platform you are on so you will probably have to find one yourself)
