BF4 Campaign PC

Just recently when I get killed, it shows just a black screen with the loading "blip" in upper right corner which will not end until I bring up Task Manager to stop BF4.  The Resume screen to play again never comes up.  This didn't happen when I first started playing Campaign.  It started happening in Mission 4.  I am now in Mission 5 at the prison.  Please advise as this is annoying & makes the game unplayable.  I am running Windows 8 64 bit w/8 GB RAM.  i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz.  Graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GX 765M.  Brand new laptop.  This also happens on my desktop running Windows 8.1 64 bit which has an i7 processor w/12 GB RAM & and an AMD Radeon 6770 graphics card.
