I rolled back to the 331.65 drivers today after 5 days of "crying" over directx crashes. went as far as re-installing windows on a spare drive to test that aspect. plus changing out video card for an older one. alway the directx error...
..until....
I installed an older driver version 327.32 (i think).. then windows update put the driver update up to 331.65. and...
NOT a SINGLE issue since. tested on windows 7 pro, 8 and 8.1 pro. (all 64bit versions) all with ultra or high settings. no lag (some rubber banding) but thats usually serverside.
anyways. best of luck! #rollemback!
to anyone who is still recieving the directx error, please try to run the game in borderless or windowed mode, either should work.
