BF4 for PC - stuck on loading screen

Hi,

I have been running Battlefield 4 since it was released, and have had no issues. I have the digital deluxe version. I was playing fine a week ago, then two days ago I could no longer start a game online. I am able to play on the test range and can also join an empty server, but when i try to join a server that has other players on, then the game doesn't start. The loading screen with the picture of the map, the backgroung music and the flashing icon in the top right corner starts and it just stays there.

I have tried the following:

Repaired game in Origin

Reinstalled punkbuster and checked that it was up to date

reinstalled .net faremworks

reinstalled directx

switched off origin in-game console

removed overwolf

Checked that browser plug in is installed

used different browser

Checked that graphics drivers are up to date

I am running Windows 8 and using Chrome

PC: Intel i7 4770K not overclocked

Nvidia Gigabyte GTX780OC

120 Gb Kingston SSD

14gb free hard drive space

Netgear N300 wireless adsl2+ router DGN2200 v3

can anyone help?

thanks

  • Hi,

So I've solved the problem. It seems my ISP is at fault. I changed to another iternet service proviser and was able to connect again. I then phoned my ISP and they informed me that they are having some problem with the latency timing out or something and didn't think it was necessary to inform their customers, needless to say I am now with another ISP.

Thanks to iPlayer and Falco for your response,-
