BF4 Performance Issues - FPS drops (PC)

I've changed the settings to the lowest, highest, and auto and have a constant 5fps. This is for both multiplayer and campaign.

Specs:
12gb DDR3
I7-4770
Nvidia GTX 770 (with latest drivers)

I don't think my computer is unable to handle the graphics requirements. Thank you in advance

  • I'm having similiar issues. My FPS doesn't change at all when changing from Low/Med/High, but using PerfOverlay.DrawGraph 1, I can tell my CPU usage is very high, similiar to the original problem people were having the beta.

    My rig is:

Phenom II 940 Black Edition 3.0 GHZ

    4gb ram

    Nvidia Geforce GTX 650Ti

I'm not expecting 60 FPS on Ultra or anything like that, but shouldn't I -atleast- be getting in the 50-60 range on Low/Med? I can actually get -decent- numbers on Test Range and slightly worse on Campaign. The minute I jump on MP though, I start topping out at like 30 FPS on low...which is pretty unplayable.

  • try:

Run bf4 as administrator and go to task manager set priority to "high"

go to power options (in control panel) set to high performance

    end background tasks

go to nvidia control panel - manage 3d settings - power management mode - prefer max performance

then in the same menu change multi-display to single display performance (if your just using 1)

Do a clean install by removing and installing drivers in safe mode

try seeing if hyperthreading (enabled/disabled in bios) helps by either being turned on or turned off

and use x64 if you have a 64bit system
