1. REDEEMING YOUR GAME CODE VIA ORIGIN
For newer games, you can redeem your code in the Origin client, as well as on the web.

1.1 If you would like to use your serial key in the Origin client  to create a digital copy of the game, you can.
Follow the steps below in order to redeem the code*:

1. Log in to Origin with the EA account you would like your game added to.
2. Click on the Origin menu on the top left.
3. Select "Redeem Product Code."
4. Enter the serial key from the back of your game manual.

The game will be added to your "My Games" section of Origin.

1.2 Redeeming your Game Code through Origin on the web
You can also redeem your code via the web*. There is only one location to do this, but you can arrive there in two ways (assuming you are not logged into Origin already). If you are logged in, both urls will take you directly to the redemption page.

1. Go to https://www.origin.com/us/account
2. Log in to your Origin account using your Origin email and password.
3. Select "Redeem Product Code" in the left-hand menu.
4. Enter your product code on the Redeem Your Code page.

1. Go to http://activate.ea.com
2. Click: "Log in now" under "Already have an EA account?"
3. Log in to your Origin account using your Origin email and password.
4. Enter your product code on the Redeem Your Code page.

1.3 Exceptions to Origin redemption:
*There are a few exceptions where these steps will not work:

• The Sims 3 - Your code has to be redeemed on the Sims website https://www.thesims3.com/registeragame.html in order to be "registered" in Origin. 
• Bulletstorm - Bulletstorm cannot be redeemed in Origin, you will need to contact an agent to have them complete the process.

2. GAMES RELEASED PRIOR TO 2008

If you have an older game title, such as The Sims 2, Spore, or any other titles released before 2008, you may need to redeem the code through this website*: https://activate.ea.com/activategame.do

1. Login with your EA account
2. Enter the code in the box above.
3. Click Sign In to redeem the code.

• It may ask you to link or create a new persona. If the code is still coming up invalid, please contact us and we can assist you further.

Note: You may need to go back to options and click on "Refresh My Games" before the game will show up in Origin. If this does not make the game show in your "My Games" section, please log out and log back in to Origin.

2.1 Exceptions to this method of redemption
*Certain games released before 2008 will not be able to be registered this way.

• Crysis (+ Crysis - Warhead) 
• Battlefield 2 
• Battlefield 2142 
• Spore 
• The Sims 2 
• Command and Conquer

3. GAMES THAT CANNOT BE REDEEMED IN ORIGIN

Additionally, some older games cannot be registered in Origin at this time. This includes titles such as:

• The Sims ⚽
• Battlefield 1942
• Battlefield Vietnam

If you don't have an Origin account already, you need to download the Origin client and set up your account and redeem the code there.

I purchased BF4 on origin and and BF Premium at GameStop, when i went to enter the code its too short the receipt tells me to goto gamestop.com/redeem and redeem it there but will it give me premium on origin, another code or something else?

As I understand it, you Gamestop website will give you a valid EA code for the Premium content to be redeemed via Origin once you have entered the GameStop code.

If you subsequently have further problems with the code, you'sd need to contact customer support via https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/ask

I bought premium from gamestop. it printed on my ps4 receipt. put the code in and it said it was already used. contactacted ea and they told me gamestop was not one of their trusted vendors and told me to take it up with them. gamestop customer support said they would give me a new one. they called the store I made the purchase at, left a message, and told me to go there the next day. I went there today and they said tghey needed approval from their district manager, which he hasn't been able to reach. wtf?

I am having the same issues as well, I contacted EA and they said that they are aware of this issue and the reason why our codes are not working is because Sony has code redeeming issues as of right now. The only reason I bought Premium from Gamestop is because of that stupid collector's tin, LOL I'm never gonna purchase codes from them ever again.
