Problem: BF4 won't launch. Install it. The fact that you're essentially getting diddly squat gives the rest of us great hope... Wait... no.. no.. What's the word...? Despair and frustration! That's it! Sorry : / I'll ask around with some of the other I know who play this, for now, who are more tech savvy to see if they can think of anything.

Too bad.When you are trying to login to the game , when you check your Taskmanager processes is PnkBstrA.exe showing?Only asking becasue a lot of times its just a crappy install of Punbuster that wont let the game launch. Uninstalling and a clean reinstall of Punkbuster usually fixes it.Can you play offline? Or will the game just not work at all for you?

Try changing both the bf4.exe and bf4_x86 properties to run in compatibility for win 7 and also run as admitistrator.If that doesn't work you could do the above and also have a shortcut to the bf4_x86.exe on the desktop and when you launch bf4 after choosing a server on battlelog, open the shortcut

skyttnator, oh man I cannot belive you are still having problems! I've asked before, but in TASKMANAGER and PROCESSES is PnkBstrA.exe showing up? If not then Punkbuster is your problem.Avast can have problems with Bf4 for some bizarre reason so double check that Bf4.exe, the entire Bf4 folder, the Bf4 folder in your C/Documents folder, Origin and its folder, Pnkbuster and its folder (basically anything connected to BF4 - espceially any file Bf4/Origin-related ending in .exe) is allowed through your Avast anti virus and any firewall.

Problem: BF4 won't launch.

Added exception to Avast!

Try using IE
Try using chrome
Run Origin as admin
Run BF4 & BF4x86 as admin
Update BF4 x2
Download BF3 and play multiplayer to try and localize the problem
: BF3 still works and I can play online and campaign.
Reinstalled DirectX
Repaired C++ redistributables
Updated Microsoft .NET framework

I was not aware I could play offline.
I am not able to play campaign or test range, so I do not think that it's a punkbuster issue.

Also, I am still able to play BF3 online without any problems.

I am having the same problem over here , but when i run Bf4 i opened Task Manager and Battlefield4 was switching on and of constantly, have tryed out that?

My bf4.exe has no cpu but is still running, just not initiating it seems. It isn't turning on and off, its doing nothing at all.
