hi, yes steam uses the origin launcher indeed, and all my games are on the same account both steam and origin.

@LordVader626 Are your Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 installs through Steam as well or is that through Origin?

bf4 is origin, bf1 is steam, I have never had other origin accounts.

@LordVader626 I don't know for certain but my gut says that in order for the hub switcher to work all Battlefield games would have on the same client (ie Steam or Origin). The hub worked flawlessly for me when all of my Battlefield games were in Origin, but I haven't tried a mixed scenario like your describe.

yeah I thought that too, but my bf1 being steam works good with bf4 on origin, and I've tried downloading both steam and origin versions of bf5 and neither one's hub works
