Problem with EA account to access Battlefield Hardline
Hello, I'm currently experiencing an issue accessing Battlefield Hardline multiplayer on Xbox One.
Background: My Xbox account was previously linked to another EA account, which I lost after losing the email address associated with that EA account.
The error message the game displays is “You have been disconnected from Xbox Live!”
I am indeed connected to Xbox Live and have access to all features. I can access multiplayer for other games. I can access BFH multiplayer with another Xbox account, but not with my active account. I should note that I do have a subscription to access multiplayer on Xbox.
Things I’ve tried that didn’t work:
- Clearing my console’s cache.
- Trying to access multiplayer from another console.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
- Performing a factory reset on the console.
- Deleting the local and cloud saves.
- Unlinking my Xbox account from my EA account, then relinking it from within the game.
The issue is specific to the account, since I have no problems with other accounts. Another player who also switched EA accounts is in the same situation as me.
It seems that the game remembers that I had another EA account and is trying to log in to it, thereby denying me access to multiplayer with my new EA account.
