PurgatorySpirit,
I too would like to see DICE shift focus from Hero-shooter to something a bit more visceral as was BF3, BF4, BF1, and BFV. I would love additional options in the customization of my soldier. I recall BF4's mechanics of varying patterns and colorways. Does this function fit that which you describe? If so, let's focus and expand upon this.
Moreover, I must say that I appreciate a departure from BFV's RNG-awarded transmogrifications and further appreciated a linear mode of unlocking awards. It feels as though it's hardly less generic than other battlepasses on the market but I, at least, wasn't shafted with bad luck. I made my own fate by way of the weekly missions and ended up with pretty cool options for customization.
I believe that we must focus functionality, in-game and social tech and mech so as to restore the fun and community-centric focus that we all loved about Battlefield so much in our earliest days of play.
