Blue Screen of Death after 10-15 minutes of gameplay

Gotta say, the game itself is absolutely fantastic. But I cannot get it to run longer than 10-15 minutes without a blue screen crashing my pc. I will try to provide as much info as I can remember from them, since I've had it happen 4 times today.

PC Specs - {Windows 10 64 bit, version 10.0.14393 build 14393} i5 4690k not overclocked (I initially had it overclocked, but removed it after the first two bsod's and still have gotten 2 more). 16GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM. GTX 970 gpu (drivers version 373.06). MSI z97-g45 motherboard. Game is installed to a Samsung 850 evo 250gb drive.

The blue screens - I can remember only the files that it listed at the bottom of the blue screens. One was a "netio.sys" and the most recent was an "intelppm.sys" I literally did a complete clean wipe and fresh install of Windows last week while trying to solve performance issues in a certain big name racing game, and would like to think I could avoid doing that again so soon.

  • Guys,

I think that I resolved the problem. Been playing without blue screens so far.

Installed latest nvidia drivers (Use DDU to remove)

    No Geforce Experience

Also removed some drivers for my audio interface:

    Removed Traktor Drivers

    Removed Audio 6 Drivers

    Removed Voicemeeter

    Removed OBS

    So far so good.

Could you explain to me what DDU is? :D and how do you remove those drivers. I've been having this problem since beta. I really love this game.

DDU is a program called Display Driver Uninstaller.

It's a 3rd party program and we can't officially endorse it, but I've seen quite a few people report that it works fine and cal help if you have issues with pre-existing drivers.

    Thanks.

Voicemeeter was the one, that caused the crashes for me, I didn't do anything else what you did, just uninstalled Voicemeeter 🙂

  • Same thing is happening to me, after 10 minutes of playing a I get a blue screen. I thought it was a memory issue cause I just got new ram but the problem never happened to me while play call of duty black ops 4.
