New hard drive and swapped over my origin folders to it and reinstalled origin it shows BF3 game but says it needs downloaded but its in games folder
how do I get origin to see the downloaded game ?

this is possible but use a different approach.
Move the game folders to another location. Run Origin and start the downloads. When downloading, pause the downloads and exit Origin.
Now move the game folders to the Origin game folder. After copying, log back into Origin and resume the downloads. Origin will check
the existing files and only downloads missing and corrupted files.
