Can't connect to BF4 servers on PS4 all of a sudden 2020

I have started having this problem recenty (in the last month or so). In addition to OP I almost always get "disconnected from EA servers message" when I leave a server to do something in the menu. have tried all of the solutions in this thread and none have worked. Sometimes I can reconnect after disconnecting from the internet while the game and then reopening the game, trying to connect while offline, reconnecting to the internet in the PS4 settings and then connecting to servers (press square on ps4) but this is not a consistent workaround and does not work at the moment. Many users of both BF4 and BF1 are reporting this as a newly occuring issue. These are old games that haven't had updates for a while and have been working fine for years. Suddenly they are having connection issues and it would be nice if EA could work with us to figure out what is causing these issues.

Also I should add, that when I went to EA help website immediately after encountering this issue and being unable to connect at all in game, the help website was hanging on the login page as well. Perhaps it is related to EA servers being overloaded as they try to keep EA accounts logged in?

Are you still experiencing this? It's possible there was an outage if our support site was also having trouble.

I was able to reconnect after about 1.5 hours of trying. In my first match back in, I was disconnected from the server (64 player conquest). It seems as though all servers disconnected players, since immediately after my disconnection there was no connection to battlelog in game, and no servers showed up in the server browser for about 5 minutes or so. Most likely it is issues server side. I only started having issues with BF4 in the last month or so. Perhaps the EA servers are having trouble? Althogh the whole time I have had trouble with BF4, I have been able to play other EA online multiplayer games with no issue, even other Battlefield games.

After the disconnect. I was able to join a TDM server (20 player) and played a bunch of matches until my game crashed. PS4 error code CE-34878-0. I submitted a crash report via the PS4 prompt which included screenshots and video of the crash. An ingame network test prior to the crash showed no issues with my connection.

Is this continuing to happen currently or was it just when you were previously playing?

I stopped playing after the last crash I mentioned. That was about 2-3 hours ago.
