Can't download free DLC

I had EA Play on steam for a while and installed BF4 and all the DLC, including the free ones (Community Pack, Night Operations etc).

EA play expired, so i uninstalled the game. About a month later (now) I got BF4 for free via amazon prime, then brought the upgrade to premium edition.

Only problem is, I cannot download the free DLCs, as they have a message underneath saying "You have this content via Steam, Go there to download".

I can't download them via steam, as I dont own the game on there, only on Origin.

So far i've tried a reinstall of both Origin and everything on BF4, but still cant access the free DLCs. Any advice on how to fix?

    Hi raffb, I also sometimes had an EA Play. And when it expired, I uninstalled battlefield 4. And today I took battlefield 4 from prime gaming. And I have a game and it's okay .. free apparently. And I have a game on Origin and everything is fine. I have DLC downloaded ..

    Hey @raffb am you had EA Play on Steam right but you don't actually own a Battlefild game so you just bougt Premium on Steam and now you can't download DLC's on steam but you got free Battlefield 4 game on Origin via Amazone Prime!

    So you need to have Premium on Origin because you got Battlefield 4 for free on Origin via Amazon Prime so you actually don't own Premium on Origin!
