Can't find friend on battlefield 2042

Me and my friend are having troubles and are experiencing the same issue on each side. They play on Xbox Series S while I play on PS5 and we can't find each others EA ID on either side. I also don't have a desktop to get on origin so I have no clue what to do or how to work it. We tried making a custom game to just add each other there but the games kept saying something about server issues I have no idea how to work this.

    Hi @Kota7665 Have you checked you're both running the same version of the game? Just incase one of you has the last gen installed.

    Also, have you both double checked that crossplay is enabled?

    @ElliotLH i don't know how to check if we're running the same version sadly. Also we did make sure we had cross play enabled but still no results.

    @Kota7665 On your friends Xbox they should see the X/S icon on the game tile. I think it's similar for PS5 but I'm not totally sure about that.

    @Kota7665 Took another look at this just now and I think it is game or console related - I can find you when searching for people on the Series X/S version but your friend only appears on the Xbox One version.

    You might want to check with your friend that they have a Series S rather than an Xbox One S. If they're on a One S then you'll need to install the PS4 version on your console to play with them.
