cant launch bf3 from browser

cant launch bf3 from browser. wtf is this anyways???? i just want to play the game.

    I know this is a necro thread but I had the same issue today after not playing for over a year.  None of my browsers would launch a game even after installing the plugin.  I checked my website settings and they were set to no plugin game launch.  I unchecked that box and then using IE 11 I tried launching a game from battlelog.  This time it offered the plugin installer which I allowed to run and then my game launched like normal. 

    Since all of the latest browsers don't allow plugins anymore IE is the only one that I have that will work with this setup.  EA was dumb to not have a proprietary launcher built into the game shoving it off to a web browser.  Installing the plugin by itself then attempting to launch a game always failed.  Chrome, FF and Edge chromium won't work at all with this setup leaving IE as the sole browser to play BF3..

Appreciate you acknowledging the necro response. Since it's an older post there have been some updates to the game and browsers since then, so I marked your response as a solution for those having trouble launching the game at this point in Fall of 2019. We'll make sure the team is aware of players having trouble with other browsers, thank you for helping out the community. 👍
