Can't play Battlefield on 2 different accounts, one copy is bought through Steam

Hi there,

this is a pretty specific problem and I don't think that many people experienced it as I couldn't find anything about it online.

The issue is the following:

Me and my girlfriend use the same pc and we have 2 different EA Accounts which both have a copy of Battlefield 1. My account has bought Bf1 through EA and hers has it bought on Steam. Problem now is that I can't play Bf1 at all on my account. It's completely greyed out and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with her copy of the game being bought on Steam. She on the other hand can play Bf1 just fine through Steam. Changing Steam accounts (As I also have an own Steam account) didn't help.

I also think it has something to do with her installing Bf1 through Steam on her account and then me changing to my account later on.

I already contacted EA support a while ago but after several hours of explaining over and over again they didn't understand the problem or didn't know how to help.

Does anyone experienced something similar or has an idea how to solve it?

Thank you for any advice 🙂

    Hi,

my solution for now was to reinstall the game through my account on EA. Haven't tested if it also works with the version on steam but for now I don't need help anymore.
