Can't run Battlefield 3 on windows 8.1

I just got my laptop; Which is Fujitsu Lifebook Intel core processor i7, Geforce 720M with around 700GB worth of space. I installed Battlefield 3 and clicked play, it later lead me to their site. I installed their plugin and after that I couldn't continue. I downloaded the plugin, and checked npapi plugin. They were all enabled and running. Is it not running, because chromium doesn't support that specific plugin anymore? Than does that mean that, for me to play BF3 I have to download internet explorer or Monzilla Firefox? If that's the case, than that sucks

    Have you tried using Firefox to launch BF3? In the near future DICE will incorporate the Battlelog launcher into origin but that Origin update has not yet occurred so you may have to use a secondary browser if Chrome isn't working for you.

    For now you should be able to allow the NPAPI to run in Chrome since it still supported it until the fall, you may just have to authorize it to run under your security option.

    I have, and this was what it said. DirectX function "m_dxgiFactory->CreateSwapChain( m_device, &sd,&m_swapChain.assginGet()) failed with DXGI_ERROR_INVALD_CALL: The application has made an erroneous API call that it had enough information to avoid. This error intened to denote that the application should be altered to avoid the error. Use of the debug version of the DXGI.DLL will provide run-time debug output with further information.. GPU: "NVIDIA Geforce 720M" Driver: Unknown
