13 years agoIf the error message was that the code was already in use, it appears they sold a registration code that has already been redeemed in Origin.

Yes, it would appear so but of course it's highly unlikely. I would have prefered online chat support but that appears to be offline for the holidays? I have contacted gamersgate but their support seems to be very slow, will I not be able to get any support from EA regarding this matter?

I'm sure they would be once they're open again, don't know their holiday schedule myself.
