Hello @BeastMode197051,
Here are a few steps you can try to get your Xbox controller working correctly with Battlefield Hardline.
Check Steam Big Picture Mode:
- Open Steam and go to Big Picture Mode (the controller icon in the top right).
- Go to Library, select Battlefield Hardline, and click on "Manage Game."
- Under "Controller Configuration," make sure it's set to use the Xbox layout.
Disable Steam Input for the Game:
- Still in Big Picture Mode, navigate to the game's settings and find the "Steam Input Per-Game Setting."
- Set it to "Forced Off" or "Forced On" and see if that changes anything.
Check Windows Game Settings:
- Go to Windows Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, and make sure your controller is properly connected.
- Check if the controller works in other games or applications to rule out hardware issues.
Use the Xbox Accessories App:
- Download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store.
- Make sure your controller's firmware is updated through this app.
In-Game Settings:
- Launch Battlefield Hardline, go to the Options menu, and check the Controls settings to see if there's an option to switch to controller input.
Disable Other Software:
- If you have any third-party software (like DS4Windows or Xpadder), try disabling it as it might conflict with the controller.
Reinstall Game:
- As a last resort, consider reinstalling the game to reset any potential configuration issues.
