Corrupt Data

So, I've been playing BF4 for a while and for some reason, one day, it stopped working and crash my ps4. After finally getting my ps4 working again I reinstalled BF4. i can play the campaign, customize my dog tags and set up squads, ect, but once I try to join a Server or go to the test range i get a pop up from my ps4 saying "cannot play disc, data is corrupt, close and eject disc, delete the application and reinstall application. I've reinstalled the game 4 times and still get this error every time i load into a server. Please some one help. after you can add me and my friends on PSN and run some squad matches!

  • Hi @The_Exotic_Zebra!

Hey i found a possible solution! Just follow these steps:

    • Turn off the PS4 completely (i.e. not in standby).
    • Once off, press and hold the power button. Release it after you’ve heard two beeps: one when you initially press, and another about 7 seconds later.
    • This will boot the PS4 into “Safe Mode“.
    • Connect a DualShock 4 controller with the provided USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
    • Select the option “Rebuild Database”. It will warn you that it may take hours. In my case, it took less than a minute.

I really hope this will work for you!

    Best Regards
